Illuminating Motherhood: A Christmas Giveaway.

Congrats to Crystal for winning last week's Christmas giveaway! My daughter and now cute hat model, Cici, was more than happy to help me with this week's giveaway! This week, I am giving away a set of mommy and me hats! To enter, tell me how you feel about motherhood - in only one word! You can write more words in the comment box, but make sure you identify the word that you chose, and please only enter once.

My word that describes motherhood for me is - Illuminate. Why this word? Motherhood has given me an inward perspective of the faults I have and has caused me to take action and overcome and better myself in these areas. My priorities are clearer and my mind is better prepared to take on the challenges of raising daughters.

What is your word on motherhood?
Please post any questions in the comment box!
Contest Ends next Wednesday, December 12 @ 12:00 a.m.
Good Luck My Friends!

Mine would be "Growing".

Every day my heart grows a zillion times larger as my toddlers grows taller, faster, and more joyful than the previous day. I am learning so much through her. Some days I feel I'm growing more knowledgeable, and some days I feel like I'm growing more insecure and less knowledgeable. This is a good one! Your banner photo is so peaceful and gorgeous. It really does match your blog title well.

My word would be LOVE.

My children fill my heart with so much love, both for them and from them. I feel like the Grinch. My heart grew the day they were born and sometimes feels as if it will burst.

Really, really cute hats!

WoW!!! Great question!
EnjoyItWhileItLast! or
ItGoesByTooFast!

Ya know... those fingerprints on freshly cleaned glass, the bickering, the toilet overflowing... these are things that have driven me crazy!!! BUT, now that I am looking at my baby who is 12... I realize that I only have 6 more years before- she's an adult! Someday soon, I will be missing all the chaos.

I had to really look deep to narrow it down to just ONE WORD, and I finally chose "SPIRITUAL."

In order to understand my kids, to know what they need from me, I've found it crucial to cultivate the Holy Spirit in my life and stay close to it. Seeking the Lord's guidance while trying to raise these sweet children is what helps me most.

(I'm not officially entering this contest, b/c I was lucky & won the previous one...but I just wanted to comment!)

surprised.

I was never a girly girl, didn't play with dolls, didn't like to babysit. I was afraid that I was missing the main ingredients of maternal instinct.

But nope, your kids make you a mom. It's such a natural progression, so easy. But always surprising to me.

I love the hats! Roo and I would love to match.

My word would be miracle.

Children are obviously all miracles. Ryley is absolutely a miracle to me. With the size of the tumor I had growing inside me it's beyond amazing that I was ever able to get pregnant. For that I will be eternally grateful.

Darling hats. I would have to say passion. I really have a strong passion to try and be a good mother. It's definitely very trying, but on the days it "works" its so gratifying.

Heya Michelle! My word would also be illuminating.I have a little girl with a seizure disorder. Thankfully seizures are finally under control but she has sensory issues and developmental delays. Learning how to help her succeed and deal with her issues has illuminated my inner self with wisdom and unbounded Love for all children and adults struggling with challenges.Everyone has their own special gift to give the world, no matter what condition they are in.We would really adore your matching hats.Everyone have a lovely time during the holidays!

My word would have to be GROWING. I find that I'm growing and learning so much by being a mother. Also, as my kids are growing it is so fun watching them learn and experience new things.

Love the hats!

silliness

My girls bring out the silliness in me. Life, even the tough parts are more fun since I see the silly side of them.

My word is home. Home is where your mom is and family. Where you hope everyone will always want to come to be together to experience all of lifes joys and pleasures.

My word is OVERWHELMED. With every aspect of my mothering it is how I feel. I feel overwhelmed with the love I have for them and the love they show me. I feel overwhelmed with the responsiblity I have to raise them. I feel overwhelmed with gratitude that these little people are in my life. I feel overwhelmed with the number of tasks there are to keep our little family going. I feel overwhelmed with joy as we play together. I feel overwhelmed with pride when I see them make good choices on their own. I feel overwhelmed with humility as I watch them sleep in their little beds.

That is my word.
