The brighter side...

Do you remember this post here when I had a little duh moment? Well I finally put at least one of these bottles to good use and made some snickerdoodle cookies Thursday night! This was my absolute favorite cookie to bake when I was little, there were many a night when I was eating more than just one of these - you too Jenn! When was the last time you've had a snickerdoodle? Have you had it with frosting?
I have been working on a couple small projects while I've been under the weather. The first is this candle stick holder, purchased plain at Michael's across the border and decoupage with some great euro paris paper I found at a craft store here in Montreal. Do you like to decoupage?
The second thing I made was this little pocket or purse. I'm not actually sure what to call it! The butterfly is made from cut out material and sewn on by a sewing machine. The stem and leaves are sewn by a machine. I wanted the front to imitate the back. Anyway, it's pretty straight forward and fun to make!
The third project was this little croceht basket. To my surprise, my efforts to make it were pretty easy. I didn't have a pattern and was afraid it would turn out a disaster like so many other things I've tried without a pattern.
The fourth thing I've been working on is shopping! What do you think of these shoes I found at payless? The most surprising thing about these shoes is that they are comfortable! So many times, I've purchased a pair of shoes at Payless and I end up not wearing them because they are to uncomfortable. Something you can't always find out by the couple of seconds inside the store. The weather in Califronia is supposed to 64 degrees - which isn't exactly summer weather, but it's 50 degrees higher than here - which means I get to wear these shoes and leave my snow boots behind!

Do you like snickerdoodles?
What is your fav cookie?
How is everyone!

Snickerdoodles are my favorite cookie to make and pretty high up there on my list of favorites to eat too! I've never had them with icing though, sounds yummy.

Cute shoes...looks like you have very tiny feet!

The weather here in Calif has been crazy weird...sunny, cold, raining. Right now the wind is blowing like no other! I'm afraid the electricity is gonna go...my lights have flickered a few times.

My mom never made snickerdoodles, and did not have a recipe for them, so whenever I went to a fireside I scooped them up at the treats table! I've never tried them with frosting though....

Cute projects, as always, and I love those cute pink shoes! Very spring-weather-on-the-way shoes.

I love Snickerdoodles, but never make them. I guess I make cookies so rarely that when I do they end up being chocolate-chip or sugar cookies.

I love decoupage, it's totally addictive. It's great that you were able to be creative while you were under the weather.

Speaking as a cookie conoisseur, I have to give my compiments on those divine snickerdoodles! I am in awe of their perfect proportions--no flat, greasy cookies for Michelle! Cookie perfection.

And seriously? You WORK ON PROJECTS when you're under the weather? I tend to plaster myself to my sheets and pull the covers over my head. Well, to each her own; some of us go comatose and some of us crochet like maniacs. *sigh*

I don't know what you're talking about "late night cookie eating"! Not us!
Yes, the Snickerdoodle is the cookie queen. It always seems I can make them consistant, where as other cookie recipes I can mess up at times. Wierd, huh?
Ok, those baskets you NNEEEDDD to sell for Easter! Too cute!

Cute shoes! I'm with you on the Payless experience though-they usually end up not worn due to discomfort.
Are U visiting CA?? I should warn you-it's still pretty cold. Will you be coming this way?

As I am fairly new to your blog... I had no idea you were so crafty! Impressive.

I haven't ever made snickerdoodles. I should look up a good recipe and try them out.

I love decoupage.

Snickerdoodles are my families favorite and I have a really good recipe so I make them often. What kind of frosting do you put on them? That would be very tasty.

The shoes are so cute. Those were a great find.

I am always so impressed with what you make! Everything is so darn cute.

Have not had a snickerdoodle for a long time. I think the last time I had one the year was 1988 or 89. My dad loved it when we would make them for him. I really like a good dark chocolate with white chocolete chunkie cookie.

I HEART snickerdoodles. The best thing about them is they are super easy to make. Cute shoes. I am with you it seems the cheaper the shoes the more uncomfortable they are. Glad they could make the feet happy.

Darling projects. You are one busy woman!

What are snickerdoodles?? Should I Wikipedia that?
This week I have been mostly eating Bahlsen's Choco Leibniz biscuits (said in the tone of Jesse from The Fast Show!!

I love your shoes! Yes, yes, wear colourful shoes this year!
And, weather-wise, it's blowing a gale here. Horrible out, but lovely if you're inside all snug and cosy (eating Choco Leibniz!).
