SPT: Pick me up...

What do you get when you've had:

2 week of nausea (unrelated to pregancy!)
a week long headache, which turned into my very first migraine
a woman who just started her period
and a very sore throat now on it's 24th hour......?

My SPT photo...

That's right, this is what you get! Don't I look lovely! What am I doing to help myself get past this? A good migraine prescription is helpful! A husband who cancelled his four day trip this week and has been such a big help to me. In fact, right now he is off taking the girls to gymnastics and ballet, I am loving this. Now if only I could feel better...

Can anyone tell me why he is making this very interesting face? He made dinner for me last Sunday and had to touch flour. This was a five minute ordeal for him, and as I've mentioned on my blog before - he absolutely hates to touch flour. This was quite the sacrifice!

This is my fountain of youth, my I can't wake up in the morning without it! This is truly the best pick-me-up in the world. It's not fancy, but it's warm!

This special goodmail from Holly really cheered me up. I just love those little stickers. The girls will be playing with those at church! Thanks Holly - you really are a wonderful friend.

Who says you can't get Valentine's from friends when you past elementary school? Thanks Lelly, Carlo, and Barb for thinking of me during this very fun holiday!

Have you done your SPT?

edit: Craig saw his photo up on the blog (a surprise since he doesn't read it everyday!) And wanted to read what I wrote about him. We had a good laugh since I spelled flour as "flower". yeah, the migraine really needs to go - today!

Sorry to hear you have been feeling so ill. Nausea no matter what is by far the worst!

Oh my dear friend! What an ordeal!!! Bless your hubby's heart for cancelling his trip to care for you and the girls!

HOT shower/bath is definitely a fabulous way to decompress! I will take a hot bath in the middle of the day just as a treat (diet coke and good book in hand)! Good luck babe! I must say though, that your beauty cannot be hid by your misery!!!!

Michelle- I'm so sorry you've been feeling so yucky. Sounds miserable. I'm with you on the shower thing. A shower and a Dr. Pepper help me feel better everytime.
As for your trip- can you email me and give me the specifics? I'm not sure if you'll be in my actual area??? I can try to meet up with you if not. Just a little lunch or something would be fun.

P.s. I've been trying to think of some good sunny day advice for your contest...but I'm still thinking. I'll try to come up with something good soon!

Thanks for the comment, it's hard when the Mom is down, nothing runs like normal. That was so sweet of your DH to cancel plans to help out. One thing you could try to help your sore throat is to gargle about a half teaspoon of baking soda with warm water or even just salt and water. Hope you feel better soon!

You poor thing! You have a double dose of the blahs...being sick and cold weather/winter conditions.

Feel better soon!

I have been scouring these SPT's for ideas, and a shower is a great one! I know I'll use this idea.

Michelle, I am so sorry that your having to deal with all of this. Do you think the migraine is what is causing your nausea? I get migraines, and I have much sympathy for you. They are horrible. I hope that you get to feeling better super soon! I wish we lived closer! I could at least bring you, and your family dinner. :)

I hope you get feeling better soon! It is so hard to have something linger for so long.

I love the shower idea.... I thought of a bath after I posted. Both are where I go when I need a time out.

This new layout is much easier to read (I couldn't read the one with flowers all over it), hooray!

I'm sorry you are in such a bad way, but it's wonderful that Craig is staying home to take care of you and the girls.

Migraines are brutal...Relpax works for me.

I curious to find out what is causing the nausea? I have Crones desease find that I have quite a bit of nausea. Take it easy I hope you feel better soon. I kind think flour is soft and nice to the touch. It's interesting how everyone is different.

What a funny picture of your husband. That is the first time I heard about someone who hate touching flour. So hilarous :-)

Just dashing off to bed, but wanted to say I wish you better very soon. What a pain to feel so sluggish for so long. Migraines are terrible. I've only ever had 2 in my life, and they were scary. Thank goodness Craig is around to help out. I'm so glad he cancelled his trip. What is it with the flour?? What an oddbod ;-P

Migraines are terrible!! I am so sorry they seem to have taken up residence inside your head. I hope you get some relief SOON!

Glad Craig has been there to help out, that's wonderful. Flour--what a sport!

The boy hates to touch FLOUR???? I hate to touch chicken...because it's GROSS...but flour???? There are some issues there. I'm just saying.

And yes! Cutie pie! I received your package a week or so ago--when I was off-my-rocker sick (and all my family, too), and I've been needing to post the pics of that darling package just STUFFED with good mail. It's been quite the month-o'-germs around here and my blogging and all-around communication is way behind. You made my day--my week--in a big way, you sweet friend :) A million thank you's. I've got that adorable mini box sitting by my keyboard & I'm waiting for inspiration to hit so I find just the perfect way to use/display/wear it.

Poor you, with a migraine. Ugh. I'm feeling your pain, believe ME.
