SPT: Welcome home...

...that's if I can find it!

Our vacation was full of ups and downs and Lelly's post is perfect for stepping back into blogging again. It's by far the longest break I've had, and I'm excited to get going again! Thank you for all your well wishes about my health. I am almost 100% - and I'm hoping it will last! I am also hoping that my daughter Nini returns to full health too, she became ill at the end of our 2nd day of vacation, with a five day 103 fever, than cough, and now is wiped out, at home, but feeling a lot better. She was a trooper and thanks to medicine her fever was able to stay down most of the time. We all enjoyed seeing the sun, without snow; the grass, the green trees. In fact, the morning after arriving in Portland, I could hear the girls in their room talking excitedly - "Wow, it's beautiful! It's so beautiful", than running to my room exclaiming, "Mom, it's so beautiful outside, look at the ground!" Yikes, they've been in winter too long - poor things!

It was really nice to get away from all our snow here in Montreal. However, one must always come home and we came home to a doozy of snow. Our plane landed in Chicago Saturday, and the captain announced that the Montreal airport was closed because of a huge storm that dropped about a foot and half of snow. We spent the night in Chicago and returned home on Sunday to lots and lots of snow.

Lelly, when you come to our street you'll see white everywhere. On the streets, in the yards, in the trees, and if you're lucky on your head as you walk under a tree.
You can sled in our front yard, or have a snow ball fight with Cici or Nini. You won't find green - that's saved for sometime in late April - I hope!
You'll find Cici in her newly purchased princess dress awaiting your whit at what fairy or princess story you have to tell her. Nini is ready with her superman shirt doubled with her surfer pants to run, jump, and play with her new pirate ship!
I will be ready to show you our orange kitchen, and perhaps sit down for a duet or two on the piano! Are you practicing?!!

My vacation post will be next!
How has everyone been?!!

Is that your house? I don't think you've ever posted it before. It's very pretty. And the trees are magnificant!
Glad your back & had a safe trip!

So glad your back safely and that your trip was enjoyable. Sorry to hear that one of the little ones was sick...but glad that both you and she are better.

Your home looks beautiful and very inviting. I've got to give you a whole lot of credit though for living in all that snow. I'm a california girl and honestly don't know if I could do it. We're having beautiful spring-like weather right now but I know the rain will shortly follow. April showers bring May flowers!

Welcome home and back to blogging!
We missed you.

You're back! You're back! You're back (singing)! I was so happy to see comments from you, because then I knew you were back! You were missed, for sure! I'm sorry about all the sickness, but a tad envious you experienced some better weather! Isn't it spring yet????

You're home is lovely and I love the sound of an ORANGE kitchen!

A very creative and cute take on a simpler SPT!

You have the cutest house! Your snow is unbelievable, you get so much more snow on the Eastern seaboard than we do out here on the prairies. Beautiful, like a postcard.
I may get to see your house in real life, yet! My brother in law and his family have now moved to Dorval.

It looks idyllic! Even with all the snow (which you're probably tired of.) Beautiful house!

Horay you are home! We've all missed seeing your happy face.

Glad Portland was so good. I laghed and laughed about the reaction of your girls to grass. So great.

Your home is beautiful. I love brick. Love it.

What a cute house. I love it. The snow looks so pretty. All of ours is melted now but the brown underneath is not so nice.

I love what opposites your girls are... so cute.

My kids had a moment of "look at that nice green grass" last month when we escaped for a few days.

Hope you all get back on your feet 100% soon.

What a beautiful home. It looks like it really feels like "home" and not just a house. I am so glad you are back - when you commented on my blog earlier I knew I had to get over to yours to see if you were finally back. Yipee! You were missed!
