SPT: Something Blue...

Blue tutu's everywhere! It was Cici's ballet recital last week and my something blue for this week's SPT challenge. She's moved up from a pink tutu ballerina to a blue tutu ballerina. These old tutu's are great for playing and being silly!
I love this photo! Cici is the one in front with her hair pulled on top of her head. Her ballet teacher is the one in pink with the pink tutu. She is such a character and both my girls just love her. Ms. Elaine is her name and she brings with her the woman at the right behind the piano at to every school and community center she teaches. I couldn't help but take tons of photos and even borrow a video camera from LeeAnne! Nini decided not to take ballet lessons this year, it was a bit too girlie for her! I thought it was neat that Cici got this special day. She didn't always want to go to her lessons, but says she really wants to be a ballerina when she grows up. I felt she did a great job sticking with it, even with her lessons getting harder. We really played it up and wanted her to feel very special. Her are the highlights - caution, there are lots!

This is such a cool photo with all the girls lined up on the bar. I'm not sure what the girl in pink is doing - but at least she stands out!

Cici was the first girl through the door!

They put them in groups of three, with the Cici and the other two girls doing their technique part of the routine first.
Here they come!

I really don't remember what they were doing, but it's cute!

The serious face...

She doesn't like a lot of attention on her, this was taken after the performance. She was much happier to just leave! She's moved up from a pink tutu ballerina to a blue ballerina - the old tutu's are great for playing silly!

Did you do SPT?
Did you have a great Memorial Day?

That the picture of the 2 of you is just priceless! I love it & think you should hang it on the wall to make you smile each time you walk by. I love the blue ballerina outfits & all the pictures. I need to put my girls in dance...
You actually have a few pictures of you & your daughter in blue hats, blue dress, blue crotchet flower...

That's so cute they they "graduate"' to a different color. Kind of like Karate! How proud to not be "pink" anymore. Cute pics!

They all look so incredibly cute all lined up. I have a couple of old tutu's from when I was younger that my oldest daughter still dresses up in. Do they graduate to a different color when they get older?

Oh your daughter is just beautiful! I love the ballet and all those tutus! What fun! So is each class a different color as they advance?

Sarah and Courtney - They start with pink, than blue, than dark blue with a navy blue skirt, and than black!

I also think the colour advances is a great idea. Especailly for such young children. It gives them something so concrete and visual for them to really grab on to.

The crazy picture of the two of you at the top is great. Such a fun mommy moment.

If Cici wants to be a ballerina, living in a Francaphone part of the world is the way to do it! The whole shebang!

How A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E are all of those little blue tutu girls...especially yours!

Yay for CiCi for advancing from pink to blue!

The picture of you and Cici is priceless...that one needs to go in a frame!

It's so nice to see a little blue mixed with ballet for a change. That photo of all the girls lined up is very cool. I also think the top photo SPT is great of you both.

Count me in when you head private. (texbonedoc@yahoo.com)

Blue tutu! Could the timing have been any better for SPT?
The silly picture is my favorite - your girls are so lucky to have a mom who is so much fun!

What an achievement to now be a blue ballerina.

You captured beautiful moments at her class. She will get a thrill out of looking at these photos when she's older.

I love the idea of using the pink tutu for mucking around and dressups. Dress ups ia always so much fun.

Love
Elise.

Michelle, I love that she gets to wear a real tutu. So many of the costumes now are tasteless so I love the look of the real tutus. I still have my white one from when I was Luci's age.
Fun pics!
