Je suis une pizza...

It's graduation time for the girls and their school put out all the stops! Their last day finally comes on Friday; although I am taking them out of school that day so we can go pick up the girl's grandma who is coming in for our PEI/Maine vacation. Their teacher was very sweet in saying that they moulded well into her classroom in March, as if they were here all year.

They had some really great ideas for the graduation, including having all their teachers and assistant teachers line up in a reception style line so that the kids to get their certificate and shake the hands of all the teachers that helped them throughout the year.

They also performed about 8 songs for us, from Je suis une pizza to Le Boogie Woogie; it was fun watching them have so much fun - except for Nini - who was so nervous about being up in front of all those people, you could see her inhaling and exhaling as if to calm her nerves. She finally opened up when they sang Sally the Camel, but got nervous again right after the song.
This photo is so indicative and telling of Nini's natural personality. She loves being part of a group, but really does not like being singled out. Here's here telling me she doesn't want any extra special attention!

This was another great idea for the graduating Kindergartners, they each received their own graduation frame complete with a graduation photo, and a T-shirt with all their classes signatures on the back - very creative!

I have been busy getting everything we need for our vacation. I'm not sure how everything is going to fit in our mini-van, but if I learned anything from road trips, it's that there is usually more room than you think - it's all on how you pack it. I feel a bit guilty not having time to visit your blogs and am hoping to pop in before we leave. I'll be out for 2 weeks while we are on our big vacation of the year - but will have lots and lots of make-up to do when I get back.

Today the girls not only have their gymnastics recital, but 15 minutes later we have be changed and ready for the school's Spring Concert recital tonight. Poor Nini, has to endure another performance! I have been collecting travel checklist links, and tips and will post them and today's new photos before I leave too! Take care and hope everyone is well!

I've never heard the Sally the Camel song...hmm...

I was sadder the last day of Kindergarten than I was on the first day. {Because kindergarten is still half day here and I knew that this was the end of having Posey around}. Enjoy your trip...I am so excited to hear and see all about it!

I sang Sally the Camel at a kindergarten performance when I was 5!
You have to be congratulating yourself on moving schools, what a great way to end the year.

I am oh so curious about the words to Je Suis Une Pizza. My French is rusty since I haven't used it since High School, but that title got me hooked.
