SPT: Grass...phobia...

Self Portrait Tuesdays

I really truly don't like to sit or walk on grass that isn't freshly mowed. It sounds a bit like my diva post below, but their are just too many things that could be hiding among each blade; not to mention, what kind of animals and such do their little "business" upon it - yes, Michelle has grass phobia! This post in June, was quite out of my ordinary phobia, but it matched my three criteria for grass: no dogs, not wet, and freshly mowed. The only way I can enjoy a day at the park is to throw in a nice blanket or a portable chair and you just might find me "enjoying" a day lazying in the grass. With all the rain we've had up here in Quebec, this is as far as I get:

Am I the only one with a grass phobia?
Did you do SPT?

You funny lady. I have never heard of anyone with your, umm...criteria...before.

Maybe for Halloween you could decorate your house with paper grass instead of ghosts!

I dare ya, go out & run in the grass bare foot with your girls...

Nope, no grass phobia here, except in Texas where you had to check for fire ants. Luckily we don't live too south and don't have chickers either. Bugs do ruin a perfectly good sit in the grass don't they.

If I thought about it enough I'd be right there with you on the phobia thing. So I just don't think and I'm fine.

I can understand your phobia. It is the wet grass that scares me. Also if the person has a dog...you know what you are stepping on even though you can't see it!

I don't necessarily have a phobia, just more of a general dislike. I had numerous bouts of ant attacks while growing up, which probably contributed to the dislike. I don't really blame you for avoiding it.

Hi Michelle

I can't say I've ever heard of grass phobia, but at least you've got ways and means to get around it and still enjoy a picnic in the great outdoors.

Lots of love
Elise

I've never had a grass phobia until this year! We were all out front doing sparklers for the 4th of July and that night we found a deer tick on Posey! Ticks are a big deal here because so many of them carry Lyme disease and who knew you could get one from your own front yard? I'm a bit freaked out.

Nothing's wrong with sitting on a nice blanket on the grass! You made me laugh this week!

I loved all your commentary about your trip as well! What a fabulous time you had!

Really? A grass phobia?
That is so funny-
Well, I am sure it isn't funny to you!
Who mows the grass- and do you run out right after its mowed to walk on it?
