SPT: Shade

Train station
My day on Monday was one of the worst I've had in a long time. These photos were taken on the good and high points of the day, but their were many frustrating parts. When Craig finished with his work at 5:00 p.m., I said with tears and all "I need a break. I'm taking the car. I'll be back." Yes, it was one of "those" days. My little ladies were full of it yesterday and my patience had all been but chiseled away. Fortunately, these photos show that there were a few moments during the day that made me realize how much joy I receive from being a mom and these photos also serve as my SPT for shade.

On the train going home.

We really haven't had to "beat the heat" with windy 75 degree weather; however, when it's just not quite the perfect day, like Monday, we make a date with daddy and ride the train downtown. Montreal has a wonderful transportation system, including buses, trains, taxi's, and the underground. We feel fortunate to see this as a novelty; as many use the system as their only mode transportation. Once downtown we can use the underground shops to stay in the shade.
We opted to meet Craig at work, go to Subway, an english bookstore, and have Craig come back early with us. Downtown was busy with tons of business people and students, but be certain, their were only 12 children I counted - and that's including mine!
Did you do SPT?
Ever had one of "those" days?

I totally relate with you. I feel the same way some days. My little 3 yr doesn't leave my side or body & whines a lot. Sometimes I feel like running away for awhile just to not hear whining & crying & to not have someone climbing all over me...
Hope your having a better day..

Usually when you look back on "those" days there is nothing good to find...I am so glad you had some documentation that there WAS good...maybe I should do that more! Glad you found some shade and I love that pic of the fam!

Yes, those days do come now and then. Lucky you could step away for a while.

Everytime I come here you've got another beautiful photo on your blog banner!

Phew! I'm glad someone else fights the tears of frustration; you just made me feel normal--thanks.

How are your headaches? I've been thinking of you & hoping you're doing ok.

Hope today is a better day! I love how you phrased it, that your patience was chiseled away! I have definitely felt like that many times!!
