Wait one cherry pitter minute!

Stopping off at a roadside fruit stand to buy cherries opened up a whole new world for me. Did you know that they actually make cherry pitters? Makes sense now that I have one, but it's just not something I ever thought about. The Push Button Cherry Pitter lid screws onto a jar, you push the button, and the cherry pit is pushed through the hole in the lid. Why didn't I think of this? At home, I searched the internet for cherry pitters and found that this is not the only cherry pitter in the world:

Now that I am part of the people who know about these cherry pitters - I must share this information with the world. After looking at the cherry pitters available, the push button one above - is the cutest and the most clever - but I'm privy to my first cherry pitter!

Do you have a cherry pitter?
Ever heard of an invention like this?
Do you have other pitters you've used?

Those simple machines are so clever, aren't they? I remember my Grandma having one (she had a cherry tree) but have never seen one like it at a store. M/B I needed to hang out in the DI more. :0)

For some reason the title of this post cracked me up. Who knew they had such a cleaver thing? I am not really a cherry lover, but have several family members that are. Cool!
