SPT: Faster, Higher, Stronger, Part 1

Self Portrait Tuesdays

Sometimes I get tired of trying to be faster, higher, and stronger and revert to hot rollers to make my hair just a little higher and fluffier! After photos to follow later, our hair was flattened by rain! I've been out of town this weekend, with Craig having a holiday on Monday, and completely swamped today. I'm late posting, it's short - but that's all I can do for now! My foot is better, thanks for all the thoughtful comments and emails. It took about three full days for it not hurt, and now I can't even feel any pain.

Do you hot roller?

The things we do for the sake of beauty...I love how much body those hot rollers give my hair...when I get around to rolling it up.

My mother had stick straight hair and didn't do much with it. I have curly hair and so I never learned much about hot rollers. I'm sure anything would help, somedays!

i've never used hot rollers. wait, except for in a show, maybe.

i got discouraged with hair styling back in the 6th grade when i had to use the curling iron every day to get the farrah fawcett look.

I don't use hot rollers, but I did when I was a teenager. We had one set of clairol hot rollers. There were three girls wanting to use them so imagine how hard that was. Now a days I use a straightner. And I don't use it to straighten my hair so much as to give it volume and spikiness.

Before I cut my hair I used hot rollers every day. I haven't used them in a couple of days, but I am sure I will again soon.

I'm thinking I should use some hot rollers because my hair is pretty flat! Can't wait to see your 'after' photo!

I haven't used my hot rollers in a few years now. I think I will take them out,and give them a try!! Right now we are having hot, and humid days. Maybe the rollers will help my flat hair! :) This is a cute SPT! I need to start SPT'ing again! :)

Every once in a while I put huge velcro rollers in, but not often. They aren't hot, I either have to put them in damp and blow them dry, or sleep on them-yikes!

I used to use them every Sunday when I was younger. But, my hair is curly now since giving birth..crazy. So, I straighten mine sometimes.

We always want what we don't have right?

I'm a velcro roller fan as well. They are faster and easier than hot rollers. Beats a straightening iron anyday.

I like your take on this SPT, very clever and cute.

I have never used hot rollers, but I use a hair straightner way too often!!

Lots of love and hugs

I love your twist on this SPT!

Do I hot-roller....are you kidding? I can't even find a second to slap on some mascara these days. I've forgotten what a time-sucker a newborn is!

I just had to comment on your conversations piece in the sidebar. So funny! One of my boys was stumped or so long & kept asking me which country we lived in and if Ca. was still part of the US?! Then he would ask about other states with the same intrigue. It was funny at first, then frustrating-I felt like he should get it already!

I tried hot rollers once. I looked ridiculous.
Love your blog's new look!

I velcro roll, not for curl, just for some body!!

I was a tried and true hot roller girl -- now I don't really have enough hair to wrap around them.

Great idea for higher.
