One horse expert, to go please!

Photobucket

I picked my first #7 off my 34 things list so I'll continue in that tradition until next week and use my 34 list again for this week's SPT - it's much more interesting:

#14: I love horses and have always dreamed about galloping on one, but am afraid of them - just ask my husband!

I love horses but am ultimately afraid of them unless they are led by a human horse expert, like the one above - taken when I was about five. I have always dreamed of gallopping through a beautiful field of wheat, hair flying, and preferably with a handsome pursuer like Colin Firth or Russell Crowe, but just so we clear - my husband will do too!

Hopefully in the near future I plan to attend a week long overnight school that teaches how to ride - or at least that's what they say - it sounds like a blast, but will see if I can overcome that little fear of mine!
Do you like to ride horses?
Can you teach me?

One Mommy Moment Per Day (OMMPD): Fixed bike chain for Nini - took 30 minutes because the chain was stuck and we all know what bike chains do to out hands! We rode our bikes to the park and the girls were surprised to see a very old friend (cici's first BFF) in the park!

If I only knew you were afraid and wanted to overcome it...Did I ever tell you that I give horseback riding lessons in my spare time? We could have done a trade for violin. :0)

Sounds like fun. I personally am afraid of them too and I had a not so great experience riding one when I was 16. Anyway, love to look at them, but I'll leave the riding to you! Hopefully you'll be able to fulfill that dream of riding someday!

My friend just took some class over the summer. I am afraid of horses especially since a man just broke his neck from one just a few weeks back. Miraculously he isn't paralyzed. I hope you can fulfill your dream with them.

hey, michelle:)
i think horses are beautiful, but i've never ridden one. lol, i think that's the same thing i said about the violin (beautiful but have never played one, tee-hee;)...
i don't think i'd be afraid, though... i'm just not an outdoorsie girl. i wish i were moreso at times...
love,
dani

That is such a great photo! I'm pretty scared of horses too. I like to ride only in predictable and controlled situations.

I grew up on horses, I could teach you. It takes a lot of courage. My family has a lot of horses that we ride in the Beaver mountains. My last horse's name was red profit. He seriously was the best horse. I miss him so much.

I used to have a horse when I was 10, but couldn't ride one now. I think I forgot! Hopefully you will be able to over come your fear some day :)

I rode when I was younger. Horses are amazing animals. Their strength and speed is awe inspiring.

I have a fear of horses as you do even though my parents owned 2 awhile back. I've just never felt comfortable around them...maybe I should try lessons as well!

Michelle, did the box arrive yet? I hope I filled out all of the paperwork correctly!

I love horses and have actually been the owner of three in my lifetime. I got my first horse when I was in junior high. A morgan, who i loved and the neighbor helped train me to train her! I loved our rides together. Then we moved and I had to leave her behind in the care of my brother who sold her and bought tires for his girlfriend's car! Then a few years back I got an arabian -- pregnant. SO I then had a momma and a colt.... then I found out I was pregnant with twins and my time to spend with the horses was greatly decreased and i had to sell them! I would also love to go riding again!
