One last smile.

These are lowfat brownies, placed in a muffin tin inside cupcake wrappers. Once done, peel the cupcake wrapper off the brownie, cool, and frost! They are really good, let's just say there were 12 on Sunday and by Monday they were completely gone! Yum-o-rama!

My internet was down all day today, although, I can't say I had much time to sit down at it! I must thank all of you who have left so many wonderful comments on my SPT post. I would love to write a book one day, especially about something as close to me as adoption. I hope I can put my time in order and maybe some day, my dream of writing and publishing a book will come true! For now, I have been staying busy with household chores, helping at the girl's school, planning for our next fertility treatment, a Halloween party at our house next week, a possible new part time job, cooking, excercising, and a few fun friend craft sessions and lunches all thrown together!

In other news, Nini has lost her third tooth! This is her on the phone to Grandma, my mom. I just love getting these candid shots, it will be a great memory someday at all their cute little expressions.

OMMPD: When the girls first started going to first grade, they were completely excited, but freaked that they were going back to school and that I wouldn't be there with them. I would stand outside while the children filed in during the morning routine and they would turn around every second, wave, or frown; making sure I was their and I waved or made a silly face back. Lately, although the same routine, they've stopped looking back when they reach the doorway. They used to hover by the door - perhaps in hopes I would run and scoop them up (believe me, I would if it were not frowned on!) Now they wave while they have to wait outside, but when that final push comes to walk through the school doors - they are ready...me, I still linger - hoping maybe they just might look back and give me one last smile!

Have you made brownie cupcakes?
Are you a candy corn addict, like me?
Are you a hovering parent, like me?

thank you so much for the fun package. we loved opening it.. and such fun treasures. I have the hanger hanging from a shelf above my computer, so I can see it all the time. and luke ate the moose lolipop, and the lobster one is here, madison filled the cute pink bag with her scriptures.. and I LOVE The Nancy Drew stationary! love it.. thank you so much!
okay your ommpd reminded me of when my parents took me to the mtc, you know the mtg where the parents go out one door and the missionaries go out the other.. I could hardly think of walking thru that door. seriously. I was crying.. and scared.. and nervous, and I was actually the very LAST missionary to leave that room, and I remember the feeling as I walked thru the door, and did not look back.. I DID IT.. I couldn't believe myself..that I actually did it.. anyway.. just thought I would share..
have a good night. and thanks!

Those brownie cupcake look most excellent. I'll have to try them!
Candid shot are the best.
I think I do hover a little bit. I always wait til my girls go in, before leaving. They don't usually turn and wave. But I do sneak a kiss in before either one goes in.

The icing on your cupcakes is so elegant looking. How did you apply it? Did you take a class in cake decorating? We R candy corn addicates here, but usually straight from the bag. Danica likes the pumpkins.
Your shot of Nini talking on the phone is precious. I just love going digital. Thinking back at all the undeveloped film I will never look at of the boys when they were small. I've waited too long. Tried to develop some of it a few years back & time has ruined it. The nice part of digital is you still get to look b4 you develop, develop want you wish, and hope to God that someone doesn't wipe out your computer erase them all! :0) Fun times. From experience don't 4get to back-up!

After I drop Alexandra at school I drive around to the side of the building that her room is on and park. I wait there, patiently, until I see the last of her pink coat go into the room and out of sight. Yes, I am a hovering parent :)

Those cupcakes look so good, what is the frosting? Is it low fat too?

Yes I can be a hovering parent. It helped that my daughter was more than ready to start school and she went without any hesitation.

I just looked at your pictures of your Boston trip. It is our goal that in the next 4 years while we live on this side of the country to make it there.

I am a lingering mom. I love to watch them, and it bothers me that they have time when I am not privy to it. I should just be allowed to walk around looking through one-way-glass into their daily lives. Not too much to ask, is it?

No, I really don't like candy corn. I keep buying it since it is the picture perfect halloween treat, and then we never eat it.

Those cupcake brownies look wonderful!!! I'm not sure if it has anything to do with, all of the goodies around for Halloween, but I sure have had a sweet tooth! I too love candy corn.

You are such a wonderdful Mom, Michelle. I have felt the same feeling a time or two, with my kiddos. Watching them grow up is hard on their Mamas!
