Avonlea Friendship Pillow Giveaway.

"The White Way of Delight" spoken by Anne in Anne of Green Gables
painting by David Jay

There is no color by number instructions for understanding friendship. Some people come by it with ease, while others struggle daily to be befriended; some go decades without close friendships, while others will never be without. In my vast (see me laughing) experience, I can say without a doubt that the one thing that will ensure lasting friendships -is yourself. "Friendship with oneself is all-important because without it one cannot be friends with anyone else in the world."- Eleanor Roosevelt

This pillow I found in the Avonlea Village! It's velvet with ribbon flower lupins and embossing. The back has an easy zipper to put your own stuffing or pillow inside for easy display. Leave me a comment and I'll pick a winner next Thursday, December 11, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. (est). The next drawing will take place starting the 12th.

What is friendship to you?
Difficult?
Easy?

okay, I know I just won a giveaway..from avonlea too, but I LOVE That pillow cover! when I moved from longview, I left the closest friends, the ones that we had our babies at the same time, served together in ward callings, friends, that I know I will ALWAYS have.. when I left, my girlfriends made me a scrapbook and that was the theme of the scrapbook.. if friends were flowers, I'd pick you..

Friends are SUPER important to me, always have been, always will be.. I tend to make friends easily because of that.. I think anyway.. I love people, and I feel drawn to people and want to be friends with everyone, I have learned that doesn't always happen but I still try! :)

Lovely Michelle. I would cherish that. Friendship is interesting to me. I have had good friends that remain solid and others that simply drain me. I choose low maintenance friends now. I am drained on my own :)

Friendship comes easily to me yet I think it's definitely hard in the sense that friendships require a lot if you want them to last!

I put this up at the message board--hope that was okay.

Very Beautiful pillow!
I have to admit I'm not always the best of friend- I can go a long time without contacting a close friend. It's not that I don't think of them as time goes on it's just that I don't think it is needed. But I learned my lesson recently when a close friend of mine called to let me know her husband passed away.
Friends need each other, it's what pulls you through a hard life. They are the ones that offer to carry a heavy burden when you no longer can. I'm still working on being a better friend...

What a great quote about friendship. This is a lovely give away. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

I just looked around in Doodlebird. You have great ideas. we still don't have a real advent calender becasue I can't decide what I like best. Every year I think it will be the year I get/buy/ or make one but it hasn't happened yet.

Such a pretty pillow!
Friendship for me has usually been pretty easy I guess. I was always, at least up until the tenth grade, able to have at least one really good friend. Tenth grade we moved to a new state, and it was tough to make a best friend with anybody. There were cliques and whatnot already established.
Can't say I have a best friend right now,(aside from my hubby) but I do have many friends I think.

i have always made friends easily, and i've been blessed with many of the best!!! i think it is so sad when i hear of people that have problems fitting in in a new place.

The pillow would look wonderful in my guest room...such a perfect place for a quote about friendship!

I guess I make friends easily although cultivating "friendships" takes work...but life would be so boring and meaningless without them.

Did you make the pillow?
Friendship to me can be hard at times & easy.. It really depends on if the person your trying to become friends with wants friends.
Sometimes I can be shy & people don't realize that..
