Our Adoption Video 2003.

This video was lovingly put together by a very good friend of ours (thanks Justin) for my baby shower right before we left to bring home Cici and Nini from Russia. I've had a lot of trouble loading this after I shortened it from ten minutes to less than four minutes. The beginning clips were from the original video we received for our adoption referral and then it moves on to meeting the girls for the first time and spending time with them before we had to leave to finalize. It's easy to see how we fell in love with them. My family and some close friends have seen this -I am grateful to finally share this with you, my blogging friends.

Love,
Michelle

I can't wipe the smile off my face! I loved seeing this. Thank you for sharing such a personal part of your life with us!

You must have fallen in love the minute you laid your eyes on those beautiful girls! They were gorgeous then and now!

Wonderful! What a great baby shower gift. It was neat to see that they both looked the same then as they do now. I could easily see who was who.

They sure are beautiful girls.

Michelle,

Thanks for sharing. It was fun to watch that video again after so long. Brought back memories of when you brought the girls home.

Dani - Yes, those moments on the stairs were right before I had ever seen them in person. We had two days with them 4 hours a day and then had to leave and return home while Russia finalized the paperwork and prepared them for adoption. We left one of the recordable build a bear stuffed animals with them with our voices on it. They said they played it for them while we were absent - who knows though. Our 2nd trip was about five weeks later, when we finalized the adoption in Moscow on my birthday in May! Both times are stay in Russia was about five days long each. Thanks for the questions - I don't mind really! Love, Michelle :)

Wow. So great. Have your girls seen it? If not, they will love it someday.

Nothing like a good mid afternoon cry!

Michelle, that was so incredibly beautiful. They were so darling and you were so cute with them. It's obvious to me that they recognized their mama immediately. I loved the way you held them both at the same time. Thank you for sharing those wonderful memories.

Oh Michelle, that is "beauty full". I absolutely loved the last bit of the clip where you are holding your two precious girls and rocking them to sleep. Priceless. How blessed you all are to have each other.

Thank you for taking the time and making the effort to share such a personal, yet magical experience.

I am going to watch it again now, it is so gorgeous.

Lots of love and hugs
Elise

WOW isn't adoption a beauty full thing. Many moons ago we looked into it after being on IVF for over 2 years but the minimal wait here in Australia is 4 - 7 years. Ridiculous isn't it.

I love the smile on your face when you are 1st holding one of the twins by herself and then both of them together. It is so special that you have this video, esp to share with the girls and hopefully their girls one day!

Wiping tears, as usual! You know, it's amazing how when you look at their faces, they really haven't changed that much! They have more hair, and teeth, of course, but other than that, they still have the same distinctive, happy little faces! Give them a hug for me.

So sweet. They were adorable babies, how could you not fall hopelessly in love? They're beautiful young ladies now too. What lucky girls they are to have you for their mommy! (and vice versa I'm sure!) :o)
