SPT: Family

There is no getting away from me typing the word "cold" or "snow" in this post - since this is our lives right now - and let's face it, it is cold and it does snow - alot! Last week, we had a major snow storm (again), but the roads were so bad, I walked to pick the girl's up from school. I seemed to be the only one in snow pants, but I guess that's because I'm not a native! Check out my face and Nini's after coming back from our walk home from school - brrr. The picture in the park is our path through the park and to home. The photo with Cici was taken when we went to pick up Friday night pizza. We've realized the yumminess of picking up a pizza instead of delivery - it's fresher and seems to stay fresher longer. The photo above is with Sassy, our house guest since Christmas and until spring, we've taken to playing a lot of board games as a family. Now if Sassy would stop winning every game!
Did you do SPT?
Are you still buried in snow?
Do you like to play games together?
Do you ever walk to get your children from school?

every time it's "cold" here, jack asks if it will snow. sadly, it's just not that cold here! i love the frozen faces :)

my family growing up used to do carry out pizza every friday night. fantastic memories!

i thought of you yesterday. my friend came by to introduce her new twins! 5 year old girls adopted and brought home from Guatemala. it's been a challenging process for them, and the girls just came home at (American) Thanksgiving. cute as a button, and they reminded me of your twins.

No spt's around here. But, the snow is finally gone. And we are game obsessed. Love them. It is just a way to get the family together and compete. That is what it is now anyways. Before it was just a game. When they get older, it is competition. I love it though. I am the worst one :)

enjoy sassy, and tell her she's supposed to let others win occasionally;)
much love,
dani

Ooohhh...I admire you walking to get the girls from school. It's just too cold, too far and too uphill for me to walk to the school! Our snow is still here, but now it's icy and dirty. Time for a fresh storm I think! :)

still no snow but it did get cold aleast. we LOVE games and play frequently. In fact, my SPT is going to involve games too. Haven't had a chance to download and post yet.

I had games on my SPT mind too--will post soon.

Glad you are making the best of the Snow Life. I wouldn't know what to do with all of that!

We are having the opposite weather. Sunny, 65 degrees. However last week we were caught in a big snowstorm in Utah, so I can somewhat relate.

Cute SPT! I love to play games as a family. We also enjoy putting together puzzles. We don't have snow here. Right now it is sunny, and about 65. I do love the snow though. :)

Fun SPT--Everyone looks like they're having a great time.
Now that my kids are getting a bit older, we're playing more games...
I think I'm the only person on earth that hates puzzles, though.
Just the thought of putting something together and then taking it apart afterwards drives me crazy.

I think it's great that you walk to get your kids from school...What a great mom you are!

I am so sick of the snow. I hope we don't get any more the rest of the winter.:)

Yes we are big game players. Our family plays boardgames every Sunday.

Just started SPT, and yes we still have snow, but not as much as you, most of ours has melted off the roads at least but still very cold. We LOVE games at our house and play any chance we get. Love your pictures.

I love your new header picture. Too cute.
No snow here. It has been nice and sunny and in the low 70's. Gotta love Arizona in January. But even without the snow we enjoy playing boardgames together. We just recently introduced monopoly to the kids and we have been having a blast playing. Of course our 9yr old beats us every time.

I know you have alot more snow than we do and you are enduring colder conditions. If I had one complaint right now it would be driving on my own street. The level of snow has the snow pack sitting higher than the sidewalk and drive way right now. If the sun comes out, then it melts a little then refreezes. Then top that with more snow fall. We/I no longer enjoy going out much. But I work at the school so we are out. Once home I don't want to leave again. I have walked to the school a few times. But with the ice I just rater walk than risk falling down.

Here I am complaining about our steet and I just looked out to see what noises I was hearing. The plows have finally showed up to plow our street for the first time in weeks. I sure hope they dump alot of salt/dirt on the road.

Have a great day!
