Back-to -School Stationary was a fun way to capture the personality of my girls and give them something they can use to send to their cousins and friends. Armed with my cart of paints and paint brushes ( all while keeping my bedrest), I sketched the girls adding details that match their personality. I traced the sketch with a fine tip permanent marker and painted each picture using colors I knew they would like.
After completing the sketching, tracing, and painting, I took the sketches and scanned them into my computer. I used my photoshop 7.0 to erase any extra marks around the drawing and placed "from the desk of..." on the sketch. You can also do this in paint and then use Word into place any personalization you would like. From here, I placed the sketches of each girl into a layout software or Word, and printed them on sticker paper. You can also print them onto your paper, but because of my bedrest, I didn't want to spend that extra time lining it up on my printer - this was faster and easier. I could easily place them on the cards with my feet up! Add evelopes and a little ribbon and you're finished!
