A good first impression.

Today, Nini was ready...

...Cici was ready...

...Daddy helped them get ready...

...Mommy got out of bed to help them get ready...

...to make a good...

...first impression at school for their new 2nd grade teacher!

Getting the girls ready for school this year proved a bit more difficult. However, as I've now learned, bed rest and shopping can mix quite well. I had time to search the Internet for the best items for the girls uniforms. They didn't need too many things, as they were stocked on socks, dresses, and skirts. I collected a few quality pieces for this years uniforms:

Gymboree -Navy Blue roll up pants

Land's End -White Ruffle Top

Do you believe in first impressions?

Does your child go to school in uniforms?

Do you think it would make your life easier?

Miss Emily had school uniforms when we lived in Oklahoma. I wish they had to wear school in uniforms NOW!

Glad you were able to get out of bed to see you girls off to 1st day of school. You look so cute!

I think your girls made a perfect first impression--and they look excited about school--that's great.

We started uniforms this year with Kinder., navy shorts or skirts, red/green or white polos most days and a blouse and plaid skirt for chapel on Weds. I like that!

We don't have uniforms, but I think it would make getting ready for school so much easier. Your 2 look so cute.

I found you thru Scribbit - just wanted to say that your Blog made a good first impression! My children are grown, but when they were in school I longed for uniforms; it would have made life so much easier. Your girls look darling, by the way. Thanks for blogging.

I LOVE the pink and navy bow uniform jacket. That is so cute. I love the argyle headbands too!!1

Currently we don't have uniforms, but I think the middleschool Ashley will be attending next year has a sort of modified dress code.

I'm not sure what I think about it yet. I think it might make shopping a little more difficult, but the daily dressing ordeal would probably be a whole lot easier.

First impressions? I do believe in them, but I also believe in second chances. :)

How cute! Now I could totally get on board with those for Aimee when she starts school in a couple years. Adorable. No uniforms at our schools here though. Maybe I'll start a petition?
