A Ballerina and an artist.

Cici on stage
It is such a beautiful sound to hear my children talk about "what they want to be when they grow up".  It is bittersweet to see them grow up - there little faces maturing into little people, knowing each day they grow further past being called 'little'.  However, there is so much joy seeing them turn into people.  Seeing them reach and work for things they cherish, seeing them pray, and succeed.  Cici just finished her dance recital weekend.  It was a big, big event  (bigger than I had anticipated) with a dance center that certainly can be called big.  We only attend one class once a week and I was over-astonished at the amount of dancers this place produces.  The show was almost three hours - heaven sakes!

My Cici took ballet in Montreal for three years and still wanted to take ballet when we moved back to the states.  She had to take a break for six months because I just couldn't take her.  She is in Ballet 1 (there are two classes behind her) and she has loved every minute of it.   I recently asked her what she wanted to be when she grows up she said -and I quote A ballerina and an artist.  Why not!  Check out a few photos I snapped of my very sweet ballerina :)

Outside letting mom snap photos.

Minutes to curtain.

I showed her a few pictures of Anna Pavlova and Martha Graham the other night...she was so interested! Might want to look them up for her, they both revolutionized ballet. :)
