Last Saturday, I began to have feelings of sharp pains in my stomach area. It almost felt like I had done way too many sit ups - which I know couldn't have been! By Wednesday, a friend prompted me to call my doctor, and tell them of my pain woes -just in case there was something they could do to help. I went in for an ultrasound and came out with some good news. I had developed Hyper stimulation of my ovaries. This is something that occurs right after the egg retrieval and does not come back - unless you are pregnant...
They couldn't tell me for sure on Wednesday if I was, but 99% of cases like mine are because I would be pregnant. They said I would bloat and feel pain for another week, but to come back in on Friday for a blood test. Craig and I headed to the doctor's Friday morning, they took my blood, and we waited, and waited...
At 4:30 p.m. Friday, my doctor called to tell me the good news - "Michelle, you are pregnant!" I found out some other good news; my fertility doctor's will track the first trimester along with me and when they think I'm ready will turn me over to an obstetrician. Thank you so much for your prayers and your well wishes. We are still early in the stages and since I've never been pregnant before, we don't really know what to expect. But we're are ready!
Love,
Michelle :)
