Living with Toddlers.

Living with Toddlers means that you need to be on your toes at all times.  Everything is fair game and everything is new.  Who knew that the potting soil on the front porch couldn't or shouldn't be used inside on the kitchen floor?

Little moving things like this sweet lamb are simply too irresistible not to squeeze -
there just too cute and soft not too!

Pointing and making funny noises seems just a normal past time,

And what portrait wouldn't be perfect without a finger or some sort of object in a toddler's mouth?!

Perfect photos?!  Just not in a toddler's vocabulary.

Walking down a hill?  No way!

Messy hair is just part of the job of being a toddler boy.

 Popsicle's - yeah!

Toddlers never ever miss a chance to jump in a puddle - or two!

Or, a chance to have a little fit - what toddler doesn't?!

The best thing about being a mom to toddlers are all the moments above!

Quiet Toddler Activity

Match the shapes!

Match cut shapes to shapes sewn on fabric.

So excited to tell you about this handmade embroidery hoop shapes activity for toddlers.  I have been searching for a quiet activity I can do with my boys during our one hour and fifteen minute church service.  While our church lasts longer than this, it's the time in which everyone gathers together and it's very quiet (except for my boys!)  This particular activity I put together using my felt, material, and an embroidery hoop I already had at my home.

I cut the material and fastened in the hoop.  I used pinking shears to cut the extra fabric.  The rest was about cutting out the shapes and sewing one square, one circle, and one triangle onto the hoop.  Posting more toddler activities next week!

What is your favorite activity with your toddler?
