Yesterday before Craig's birthday bash here, I took a frustrating drive to Vermont for my fertility ultra sound. I swear every slow driver was in front of me! When I went to get dressed after my appointment, I realized that I was completely mismatched with my shoes and my purse. Oooops! I've never been good at this - are you? Maybe I should get some help from you!
Everything looks good and we are set to try another treatment this weekend. I feel awful because Craig and I were supposed to teach a temple class this Sunday and I'm going to miss the Relief Society broadcast - but all this missed for a hopeful outcome.

Self-portrait at lunch.

Smoked meat/pickle sandwich

I met Craig today for lunch at his office today downtown. I tried this sandwich with smoked meat (really popular her in Montreal) and pickles. I ended up eating Craig's sandwich, or half of it, with brie and meat. My sandwich was good, but I haven't had much of appetite all day.

Remnants of my HCG shot.

After lunch, I did a bit of shopping and scored on some great H & M pants. Pants are my, "I can never find" item of clothing - so I was really excited. After I picked the girls up from school, it was time to give myself an HCG shot right in the leg. Craig wasn't going to be home in time, and I wasn't going to ask my next door neighbor to give it to me. So, you'll be happy to know, that I'm brave after all! I gave myself the shot successfully and without wimping out!

I bid farewell to all my friends until Sunday, when we'll be back from the treatments and ready for a new week. Wish me luck my friends!

What accessories are hard for you?
What is your hard to find item of clothing?
Ever given yourself a shot?

I think I found your blog from a link at Mique's a couple of weeks ago. I've been reading ever since. I just wanted to wish you luck on your fertility treatments! I did hcg shots (never gave one to myself--you're so brave!) as well.

good luck with the shots.. no I have never given myself a shot.. ouch.. you are brave!
I am not big into accessories.. I am a bit boring that way.. I buy one purse, use it until it looks too junky.. and then get a new one.. same purse summer and winter.. until a few years ago I never even used a purse, wierd I know..
hard to find item? well, umm... I have to say a rain jacket, that is what I am looking for right now and can't find one I like.. you know Wa, it is something that will get a ton of use.. and something I will wear all winter.. so I want a black one, with a hood, and cinching at the waist, that covers the bum... so if you see one...

good luck again this weekend.. I LOVE those shoes you have on!

Oh good luck, good luck, good luck...I hope that 4 leaf clover works.
No never given myself a shot.
And I am terrible at matching my stuff- maybe I should work on this.
I dream of being like my super stylin' friends Katie & Lindsay..I've got some cute stuff I just need to make a little extra effort I suppose.

I always have a black purse, so I never fret about matching. It's not as fun or cute as many purses, but since purses aren't really my thing I don't care. I'm all about practical when it comes to that stuff. I think your shoes and purse and are cute and to me cute + cute = cute!

Good look with the fertility treatments, that is a huge labor of love.

Giving yourself shot sounds awful! I could never do that - a real chicken when it comes to needles. You should give yourself a pat on the back.
As for your mismatched purse and shoes, I guess I must mismatch all the time because I never change mine out either. Just find something I like and use it until it falls apart. And shoes are my hard to find item. Since I'm not sitting in a office anymore I tend to not buy the trendy heals. Cute flats are hard to come by for me (comfortable ones anyway). M/b you can tell me your secret??

Oh no! I am rarely coordinated enough to match my shoes and bag! I think both the shoes and bag are way cute and work...but I am no fashionista!

The sandwich looks so good!

I have never given myself a shot, and think it would be hard. But when you're as motivated as you are, I think I would go for it! It'll all be worth it!

You are completely wonderful! I was shocked to find Good Mail from YOU in my box today and even more in shock when I opened it up! You're amazingly generous! In spite of all you are going through in your own life, you still have time to do great things for others; you blow me away! You're a fine example to me! Thank you!

I applaud you for even trying to match your shoes and bag! Besides, it's fun to be a little unexpected sometimes.

Best wishes with this upcoming cycle! I'm proud of you for doing your own shot--I never had to do that thankfully, and not sure I could.

When I was in university taking hygiene, one of our courses was 'patients with special needs' and we did a lot with diabetes since it is so common. One of the assignements was to live a week like a diabetic and keep a journal of it. The class was divided into two groups, for the two types of diabetes. One have had to prick their fingers, and give themselves 'shots' (they were just blanks, but you still had to poke yourself) and the other half of the class didn't like the other type of diabetes. I got the non-insulin dependent type assigned to me and I was so relieved. I don't know if I could have handled the constant pricking. You are brave.

Good luck with this cycle, we are all hoping for this with you!

Good luck with the treatments! I hope that you have a great weekend away! I have never given myself a shot. I admire you for being able to give yourself one! I love your shoes, and purse! I think they look happy together! :)

I hope you have success this time with your treatments! I will say a prayer tonight!

I couldn't spot the mismatch in your picture til you said it was the bag. I kept looking for a difference in the shoes. Durr..

I worry (needlessly, I'm sure) about not matching my earrings to my clothes properly. E.g. ROUND earrings with STRIPED jumper = WRONG. Pathetic, isn't it?

Being a tiddly 5'2", most clothes are difficult for me to find. Mostly, it's the arms of things are too long. Are most people like monkeys or something??

Never given myself an injection, and hope I never have to. I paled once when I had to spike my own thumb with a home cholesterol testing kit.

Best wishes with your treatment this weekend! I think you are so strong -- I am quite sure that I couldn't give myself a shot. My husband, on the other hand, took out his own wisdom teeth. We differ in those ways!

I think your shoes and bag are both cute, and I would not have even noticed that they didn't match.

I think your shoes are so cute! You try and match your shoes with your bag? Wow, I'm impressed. That never would have occurred to me. Good lucky with all of the treatment stuff. You definitely are brave--no way could I give myself a shot.
