Daddy's Home!

I picked the girl's up from school Wednesday afternoon and their teacher said to me, "Zoe (their friend at school) said to me that she is so tired of hearing that their 'daddy is coming home' and that 'she doesn't want to hear it anymore!'"

The biggest problem when Craig comes home is the hours leading up to his arrival. They are moody, they fight, scream, and just can't keep it together. So, here's what I did and it worked great! I informed them that we would be getting two movies to watch tonight and at the end of the 2nd movie, Daddy would be home! We made the jelly bean cake first and then the girls had dinner in front of the TV and had some quiet movie watching time! The best part about it was the quiet and that I was able to clean the house! By 8:30 daddy was home!

When Craig comes home, he is more than stocked with gifts - here are some cute pictures of the experience!

Yea! Daddy is home! That is a great idea to have them watch the movie. Usualy when my husband gets home it is late like midnight. SO I tell the kids to hurry to bed so that when they wake up they will see him.

I can't belevie how behind I got on your blog! SO much cute and fun stuff. I love the cake. What a cute idea. GOod job on the sewing. I am just not crafty that way. I wish I were.

I have to guess on how long it will take to fold the laundry!! SO funny. Ususaly that will take me about an hour. But if the baby isn't working with me it could take days! Crazy.

So I will guess.... 2 hours.

Have fun with your family back together!! Yahoo for you!

HOORAY!!!!!!!!!!! So glad your husband made it home safely. I can tell from the pictures that the girls loved their gifts. Nice plan on keeping them distracted until daddy got home. I'm glad it worked. I hope you get to spend a fun, happy, family together, easter weekend!

What a relief to have him back home, safe and sound! My husband travels to Boston from the UK as part of his work, and he always arrives back early morning.

The girls look entranced with it all. Cute. He looks tired, poor guy. Did he have to fly long-haul in his suit?? Hope he's rested now, and that all has slotted back into place. xx

You made it! I'm so glad your husband made it home safely and that you survived the weeks alone with the girls. Are you going to head out tomorrow for some quality time alone? You've earned it!
