These two purses were purchased from the April Cornell/La Cache outlet store in Montreal. I got both purses for about $6.00! I love the one of the left - it is even cuter in real life. I loved the ideas Kristi gives on her blog about good/fun crafty places and I thought I'd share this one with you - if you ever decide to come to Montreal!
I thought for sure when I made this pillow that there was yellow in it. Funny how I didn't notice that there really wasn't any until i took this picture. This pillow is going to Scribbit for winning the Stout Disaster Contest. I'm very behind in getting these sent off! I'll add this to my Friendship Pillow collection I've started on SmugMug. Check the side column!
Yesterday, Cici did a great job with switch day! She wouldn't let me take a picture of her - but she handled the situation with grace. It's true you've got to pick your battles. This one was one I just wasn't going to let go. It was really great to talk to her about how we treat others and that tantrum's just aren't acceptable. As long as she doesn't have a trantrum like that again, she can wear skirts all the time.
That's also one of our dauchsunds, Rolfe, sitting on one of our very nice Austrian pillow! Who's house is it anyway????
I snapped Nina's photo too. Everyone at school was just in awe of how cute she looked! She doesn't often wear skirts! She was so cute!
Cici returned the favor and took my picture. This is me getting caught with some goodmail goodies! I've been saving goodmail so that I can send it when I get to the states. I've got a whole lot of sending to do when I get to Texas! I just wanted to thank Jenny for resending that good mail card - I've been looking for it all morning - I think it got stuck in our adoption papers! I didn't want you to think I didn't receive it! I'll post it soon! Thank you!
Getting Serious about Running!
Thanks to some online inspiration from Anne and Jenny and the sun that has been shining outside my house for the past two days (yeah!), I'm ready to get serious about running again. I used to love to run, but with the heat in California and the snow in Montreal, it's been hard to acclimate to my environment for the past two years. It's also been hard to move so many times and not get settled. All of these things and maybe some laziness pushed me indoors to occasionally run/walk/ do yoga.
To get me going and to lend support to others who would like to join me, I will be starting a "Distance Report" at the top of my blog. I know it's better to do exercises by minutes, but I'm a mileage hog and I thought it would be better for me to track my success this way. I will post my mileage goal, daily miles walked or ran, and the total miles achieved to date for that week. If anything, it will put my exercise goals out in the open and I can visually track my success.
I am using the text feature insert on the side column to input my numbers. If anyone needs some extra help getting out the door like I did, let me know and we can support each other!

I love to run. It is a time for me to be all by myself and think about life. Great pictures, You have some cute kids.
The friend pillow looks great, I'm so glad you got a Smugmug account and have a gallery to display your photos.
That's a cute picture of you, and I'm impressed that you're heading out running and walking again. Your mile report at the top of your blog is great.
ARGH! I'm putting my 'denial blinkers' on your distance report, Michelle! It's making me feel so unfit! But that will be fantastic if you do 10 miles. I WILL actually take my blinkers off to see you reach that goal. Good luck with it.
LoVe, lOvE, LOVE Cici's Union Jack top! Was that a present from Craig after his last overseas trip? It's cool-Britannia!
(I think Jill's following me on the blog comments trail, or I'm following her, or smthg fishy's going on. She's everywhere today! Haha!)
What a great idea to track your mileage. I think I am going to stick to walking awhile longer but I should still track it.
Great bags! I love La Cache accesories, but they're so expensive retail. Way to bargain shop!
Ooh love the distance report. I just might be copying that idea on my blog. I am trying to train for a tri athalon but I am having trouble getting my butt to the pool;) I am a distance hog too. love ya
and sooo jealous of the texas trip. when we went it snowed in april in texas...yes i know it was unsual weather but i was looking forward to warm sunshine and it was warmer in washington than texas!!
Michelle-Luv your idea on the distance report! That's great that your starting to run again. I love, love it myself. Training for a half-marathon currently. I push Danica along in our jogging stroller (that's proubably very comical to people passing by me in their cars :0) We're up to 6 miles every other day and about 2-3 inbetween days. Wish you were here to run with!
