Hybernation ended!

I took the girls to the mall today about 10 minutes from our house. I was seriously lacking on anything cool for my trip and thought it would be a fun morning for us. After a great morning, we hopped into the car around 12:30- to get the girls to their pre-k program by 1:00. I thought as I was going into the car that I wouldn't have anything to do for about 20 minutes before class since I would be early.
We cruised along the freeway for about five minutes until we were in bumper to bumper traffic. Usually in these situations, there is some off the beaten path way to get home, but every route I tried was the same. This was only the second time since we moved to Montreal that we were that laid up in traffic. In snow and rain it has always been easy to travel on the freeways (accept at rush hour), but when it's sunny everyone looses sense. It's just that we haven't seen it very much lately! It's a rarity in the Montreal weather!
So, it must be that everyone has come out of hibernation. I even dawned shoes that showed a little bit of skin - and left the boots behind. So there I sat, on a sunny day, on the freeway for an hour.
