Take away my 80's hair, shoulder pads, and undeniable misfit fashion sense and this becomes one of my favorite pictures. This is my mom. A dedicated woman who has more empathy for others than I will ever be able to have. This was a big day for her, it meant that she had completed her studies and she could move on to graduate school. I remember feeling so proud and not only did she graduate with honors, she was one of a few people who gave a speech at the graduation to her graduating class. I am grateful for her example that it's never too late to go back to school and follow a dream. Happy Mother's Day Mom!
And Happy Mother's Day to all my blogging friends!

Michelle, don't put yourself down like that. That 80s picture could've been a LOT worse! Believe me, I KNOW!
How fabby to see your mum in graduate gowns. So true that it's never too late - by hook or by crook.
