One old friend, one new friend, and one new life.

Tuesday the girls and I headed to Boondocks, a fun indoor and outdoor arcade/playground in Draper. They love this place and even had their birthday here in September before we moved to Montreal. A friend that the girls had in Montreal had just moved back to Utah after her father finished his program at Mcgill University in Montreal. It was so great for the girls to see her here and see that no matter where you meet a friend there are always opportunities to see them again after we or they move away.

Wednesday we headed to Cafe Pierpont to meet Jill! I felt like I was getting ready to meet my penpal! I had such a fun time meeting her and seeing her face to face. The girls are really glued to me when we travel so they got to meet Jill too. One of the things I should put on my 100 list is that if not stopped, I will talk and talk. I felt like I was talking the whole time! We talked about the girls adoption and about when she started blogging. She brought a gift for me which is true Jill form. Even though technically I would consider her an old friend, it felt like we had known each other for a long time. She is just as nice and open in person as she is on her blog and when she comments. Thanks for such a wonderful time Jill! Hopefully Jill got some better photos!

After our visit with Jill, we headed up to the University of Utah hospital. When we lived her we met the Woods. We were both sans children at the time and struggling with infertility. We hit it off quickly and had a great time going out almost every weekend. They supported us during the adoption and attended our sealing in 2003 with the girls. They had twin boys born to them 20 months ago and three days ago invited their third boy (name still undecided) into the world. I don't recall ever holding a baby so young. By the pictures of the girls above, you can see how enamoured they were with this experience.

What a wonderful visit! It must have been so neat to meet someone you've been writing back and forth with for so long.
And what a family of boys for your old friends! That is a darling little boy! Just three days old, wow. How old were your twins when you adopted them?

It was so fun to meet you and your sweet girls. It was so easy to chat like we were old friends, I just love that about blogging friends! I don't know what was up with the photos, but they're frightening. My shirt is billowing and not helping me out at all. Yikes. I'm glad we took a self-portrait, it's much better.

It's so wonderful you could go see your friend and her new baby at the hospital, that was perfectly timed with your trip!
