25 things about Nini.

First day we met...April 2003, Kemerovo, Russia.

1. Nini's name isn't really Nini.
2. Misses daddy the most when he travels.
3. She will choose strawberries over candy any day, dislikes breads, but loves to eat flour.
4. Loves to cook with me and is a pro at cracking eggs.
5. Doesn't like dresses and would rather shop in the boys section. Would rather be peter pan, captain hook, or a prince during playtime and dress-up.
6. Runs crooked - it's really cute!
7. Has an amazing memory and can recall things nobody else can remember.
8. Doesn't like loud noises, but is often the loudest in our house.
9. Asks why? about 100 times a day.
10. Was born two months premature and weighed 3.5 lbs at birth.
11. Is taller than her sister.
12. Has never, ever liked to sleep,stopped naps at 15 months, and screamed every night until she was 4 because she didn't want to go to bed. I used to name this nightly event as the "Sleep Wars". One night without making a sound and in the dark, she got out her life jacket, found her baby, and strapped it to her like a baby bjorn and fell asleep! Check out the picture:
13. When she's not calling me mommy, she says Pootoo, I asked her what it meant and she said "beautiful", I'll take that!
14. Her favorite movie is "It takes two" with Kirsti Alley and the Olsen twins.
15. She didn't respond to sounds and speech for the first two months after we brought her home. Until one day I called her name and she turned to look at me. That moment, I knew she trusted me.
16. She loves people and always is concerned about others.
17. She is starting to get freckles.
18. Her eyes are brown.
19. She loves her short hair, because she doesn't have to stand for a half hour while I comb the knots out of her hair (once it took an hour!)
20. She is very, very sensitive.
21. She loves, loves the beach and would live and sleep in sand if she could - I call her my beach babe.
22. She would rather eat with her hands than a fork.
23. Likes to take apart everything!
24. Loves to make her own songs up on the piano.
25. Will protect her sister first, before herself.
