There was once a time when I wanted to be a concert pianist, the kind that everyone oohs and awes when people hear them. I loved this dream! However, it is true that dreams don't always match your abilities or circumstances and mine did not parallel my dreams. I am very grateful for the ability to play. Since my daughters could sit up, they've always moved to the music I play on the piano. Although, they don't seem all that interested in it themselves, they certainly love to have their old mum play for them while they dance. Around four years old, I remember sitting down one day, inspired, I started plunking out a song. It reminded me of two little princesses prancing and dancing around, having fun, and finally throwing themselves onto the floor out of pure laughter and exhaustion. This is my first composition that I am proud of and want to share it with you. It's for my little princesses (although one would strongly disagree that she is in fact a tomb boy)...The Prancing Princesses, by Michelle A.
added: My composition couldn't be recorded direct from my piano (I'm not that tech savy yet) it was composed, and from my memory imputed note by note into a program called Magiscore and then published as a digital piano Midi file. It's a digital recording of my composition - does that make sense? But it is as I would play it! PS try clicking the play button twice if it doesn't work!
