The friendship pillow to my niece is finally done! The one to your left I did so quickly, I wasn't sure it was me who was doing the sewing. I will be placing a link in my sidebar with pictures of all the pillows I am doing and my reason for sending the pillow. I was looking through my sewing machine's handbook and there is a monogramming feature which I am going to try to attempt today - I'll let you know if it works and if I will be able to make it look like something from the english language.
Sunset Above the Clouds!
Sunsets rank at the top of my favorite things to see list. While we were living in the desert of Southern California, we saw the sun set almost every night. I remember feeling consoled after a long hot day, when I saw the beautiful colors that brazened the skies over our home. Montreal is a beautiful city, but sunsets are hard to come by during this cold rainy/snowy winter weather.
Changing planes in cloudy Cincinnati, we boarded a small plane that would take us to Burlington, VT (it was $300 cheaper each to fly into Burlington and drive across the Quebec border). As we past through the fog and clouds during the planes ascent, I turned on my overhead light to read. Just as I was about to settle back into my seat, the plane cleared the clouds and we were all greeted with this beautiful sunset above the clouds!
Family Snapshot
When we arrived in the sealing room to view Craig's cousin's wedding, Craig turned to me and said - "That's the same man who sealed us!" After 14 years, we felt it quite the blessing that we could introduce ourselves to him and tell him that he had been the man who had married us. What a blessing for him to work so many years and bring so many couples the blessing of eternal marriage.
Our girls were sealed to us in the Salt Lake City, Temple on our 10th anniversary. It was a great joy to bring them to the temple grounds where we were married and sealed. This is a snapshot of us by the reflecting pond.
