Leprechaun Mischief!

Thanks for the Spray String Jenn!

St. Patrick's Day extended into Sunday for our family, since my husband and I had our first date in months on Saturday night.

St. Patty's Fun...
Leprechaun Mischief is a fun tradition past on to me by my sister Jenn. The night before St. Patrick's Day, with your children, you clean up the house, their rooms, and play rooms. Cleaning allows everyone to see exactly what kind of mischief the Leprechaun's will create. It's also a good way to get them excited about cleaning - at least once a year! They also make a trap every year to try and catch those Leprechauns! In the morning the children wake-up to green toilet water, tiny green foot prints throughout the house ( I also saw this on Kristi's site, but she did green dye in the snow - really cute!) stacked books, and some sort of green gift left behind by those mischieveous leprechauns!

Making the tradition our own!

To make the tradition our own, we kept the mischief to their playroom and took some patty's day dollar store items and set them throughout the room to get them to come to that room. We also made a little trap to see if we could catch them and propped it up with a book to trick them! The girls put a few items inside the box to make it even more enticing for the Leprechauns.

Setting the Trap!

Here's the fun part:

Before the Mischief!

After the girl's went to sleep, we set their dolls up with Leprechaun hats, put a door on the box with EXIT written on the inside, put a string up on their curtain rod with a one of my daughter's capes, lined up all the candy, stacked books, put some barbie dolls up reading books, - and all sorts of other mischief! It was so much fun - more for us than them!

After the Mischief!

Some Good Mail inspired St. Patty's gift from my sister Jenn! Thanks Again!
