The Dragon Kiss.
One of the joys of motherhood are those cute things that kids do. Our family is a family of kisses, eskimo, butterfly (eyelashes) , ladybug (courtesy of my girls), and most recently made up between my daughter Nina and her daddy - the dragon kiss. We've also invaded hugs creating the earthquake hug and the tornado hug. How about you? What kind of Cute Do's do you do with your kids?
The girl's snuggling to get warm!
Our weather has changed so drastically. Last Sunday, we had snow on the ground and now the only snow left is in parking lots where they pile the snow up from the roads. We had 70 degree weather - whoo hoo! Love that suN! We went shopping for shoes this morning. Cici and I came out with a pair of cute shoes each, Nina refused to want anything but light-up spiderman sandals. So we're saving her shoes for Target! I wasn't going to pay $50.00 for a pair of sandals.
Our new shoes!
Mmmmm! Brick Oven Pizza.
Don't shreak - but we finally took down our Christmas garland and wreaths from our outside porch! It's awful, but all well - life goes on. We walked to the movie store to return our movies and had pizza in an old train station they converted into a brick oven pizza place. The girls dined on apple and cheese pizza - it was really good. We've taken to bringing a basket with us to put all the stuff we collect when we walk to the stores. Our basket today was filled with a movie for Craig and me tonight and Excedrin -Extra Strength. The girl's use them for taking their snacks and things they want to share with their Pre-K class. They look so cute when they carry them.

Basket in hand.
I didn't have a chance to run today, but we did walk to our part of town and I cleaned the house for two hours - so I don't feel so bad about missing my goal. One goal I did complete this week was finishing our Homestudy Application! Yeah! It's a big step and I'm excited to have completed it before our trip to Houston.

Hey I cleaned today too!! Your pizza looks yummo. As far as what we do with my kids. Hmmm it's kinda embarrasing and sounds worse than it really is. Weston will give you hugs and say doggy kisses. (it's not licking though). Cute shoes!
The carrying a basket to run errands is adorable. It makes me wish I lived more central in the city, instead of out here in suburbia where the only places in walking distance are neighbors.
hi michelle: your little one carrying the basket -- just such a cute pic!
what are dragon kisses and tornado and earthquake hugs?
my girls, who are teens now, and i have been doing this silly thing ever since they were little girls. we say "i love you more than dirt" and then they will add more words, like "i love you more than ..." (anything they or i can think of). it's been a fun and loving thing ... and they still do it with me from time to time even though they are SOOO old and mature now (16 and 15).
you're doing great with them. happy for you :)
What cute pictures! How cute your little girl is with her basket! An adorable idea. Are you looking forward toy our trip to texas? I am thinking you for sure will have some warmer weather to enjoy!
Yes, that is so your daughter with her basket is way cute.
We also do Eskimo and butterfly kisses in our family.
Enjoy your great weather. It is going to be 70 today here to.
Wonderful pictures :)
Happy shoes! They're great!
Erin gives 'huggles' and counts. If she counts to 15 then that's '15 huggles'.
She also thinks it's nice to kiss you on your teeth. Blerk!
Well done on reaching your weekly miles goal! I knew you'd do it!
I love the fun thing kids do. We are the same when it comes to all the kisses. THere are so many of them. My son loves to do elephant kisses. Pretty cute.
I love your new shoes. I need to go and get some cute summer shoes.
Have a good week.
