Playing Catch-up.

I feel like I'm in school and have failed to hand in my paper. I've missed three Tuesday's of SPT and I need to play a little catch up!

3 Weeks ago: Earth Day

I recycle my cans, my cardboard, reuse/remake clothes - but the thing I love doing the most is recycling the paper/tickets/bags I get from our travels and placing them onto frames or other items. In 2001 I flew to San Francisco with my husband and brother to meet my birth father. Although it was an OK moment in my life, I remember going downtown and spending time with Craig and my brother. I remember having to pay to take the picture of the woman making fortune cookies, getting chocolates at Ghiradelli's, riding the trolly and finding a wall with beautiful pink flowers growing on it. I put these souvenirs onto a 12x12 paint canvas which I purchased at our Walmart.

2 Week ago: Smaller than a deck of cards

This is one of the most important and cherish things in my life. When I look at a page of notes it makes sense to me. During the day, I will look at my piano and think to myself 'I would love to just sit and play for hours'. Since I can't on most days play for more than 10 minutes at a time, I am comforted daily to know that I will always know how to read music, I'll never loose that ability.

Today's SPT Challenge: Cinco de Mayo

We didn't really do anything for Cinco de Mayo! But since, Monday is not that far away from Sunday the 5th, I'll count this as my Cinco de Mayo SPT challenge. We noticed that the girls tricycles were too small. Their legs could barely pedal and we realized it was time to get them bikes. We surprised them Monday for FHE. When Craig pulled the bikes out of the car they freaked. It was so cute! They did a great job but had some trouble getting the bike going! I took them out today after school and Nina picked it up pretty quick. It's so cute to seem them get into these "big kid" stuff. Both girls fell off several times even with training wheels, but got right back on it - as you can see above!

I feel the same way when it comes to music. I LOVE to play the piano. IT is such a release for me. It makes me sad that I can't just sit and play like I used to. I still buy music and hope that there will come a time when I can sit and play the whole book through.

I love all of your cute shoes!! So cute. Fun for the girls to get their bikes. They are cute ones. We have one in purple. Gotta love the princess!
