Are you sure you don't need a glass for your orange juice?

Cici teasing Nini while we make cookies.

I thought for sure when I stared at my breakfast cereal bowl filled with orange juice, the day would only go down hill from there. Yes, I did sit down to breakfast with my family and promptly poured orange juice into an empty cereal bowl. Not only did I pour it in the bowl, instead of a glass, but the whole act of pouring the OJ into a bowl instead of glass surprised me so much, I spilled it all over my hand and floor. Heaven's Sake! Why are there mornings?!!!

After breakfast, the girls and I got dressed did some chores around the house. It's been much easier asking the girls to clean their rooms now that they have their own. When they shared, everything was strewn though out the room and I never knew who got what out. Except for a small portion of Cici's room, it's very clear who's mess is who! We headed to the mall to find new swimsuits for the girls. I found two stores that maybe had 10 swimsuits the girl's size left in their stock. This was one of those days I wish I had a Target. I told Craig that the next time we go to Target, I want him to take a picture or video of me running gleefully through the aisles. Yes - I love Target! I found two size 4 swim suits that had to do for now.

Nini is very good at cracking eggs - check it out! There were no shells in the cookies!

We ate lunch at the Mall and headed home to change into our swimsuits. We took our first trip to the community pool today and had a great time. It was a bit chilly to swim, although warm if you weren't drenched in water. Nini has one of this little body's that have no fat on it, nothing to keep her warm. She started shivering five minutes into the swim! We toughed it out and stayed for an hour. I figured we made the effort -why not.

At home the girls and I made chocolate chip cookies and added, m&m's, and mini-rolos. Very good! I headed to the church to head-up our fleece blanket tying for the Zimbabwe orphanage we are sponsoring. It's our humanitarian project in our ward. I want to dedicate a whole post to Lorraine pictured here, she is taking full charge of the orphanage. She is an amazing lady and has an even more amazing story, which I hope to post on Sunday.

The day wasn't perfect, but it only got better from the orange juice incident and I am very grateful for this! Stay tuned, my next post will be my 100 list - all of it!
PS, No running or walking today, but I did get some excercise in the pool.

Just be glad you didn't have cereal in your bowl when you poured in the OJ. That's happened to me before! Do they not have Target stores in Canada? I don't know what I would do without a Target near my house! I have never heard of mini-rolos. How mini are they? Your cookies sound delightful!

I'm glad your day got progressively better!

Oh how I missed Target when we lived in Missouri. The first two years of Med school were in the middle of nowhere MO. We lived an hour and a half from a Target, Mall, etc. I know the feeling of running gleefully through the isles!! And I'm glad too, for you that there wasn't any cereal in the bowl, although I guess that doesn't help when it got on your head too...!! I can't wait to hear more about Lorraine! Hugs!

Glad that you made it to the pool, even if the swimming suits weren't your favourite. I am going to Montana at the end of the month, and I am sure Barb, Kelly, RGLHM and I will hit the target.

I love Target. It is my home away from home. It seems lately I am there every single day, sometimes twice a day because I forget something-my mind.

I'm glad your day got better. The orange juice in the cereal bowl cracks me up!

I also love TARGET! I don't know what I would do. If I didn’t live next to a target. Have a wonderful day :)

WOW, love the new banner. I'm so impressed you are brave enough to change it up. I feel very lucky that I managed to personalize my banner once, I fear I would personally ruin something with the programming of my blog if I ever tried to do it again! Seriously!
