Saturday turned out to be a bright and beautiful day! Yeah! We went to the Alburg Sand Dune State Park in the island region of Vermont for a few hours. It was a lot of fun, the girls swam and we had fun throwing them in the water. We stayed for a good two hours and then headed home.
It was quite an interesting spot as the water was shallow, knee high at the most way out into the lake. I guess that's why they call it sand dunes! Check the girls out playing a game of chop, chop, timber in the water! It's really cute!
Sunday was even a better day weather wise. Our ward requires a lot of after church meetings, which has us getting home an hour and half after church ends, so we weren't able to enjoy as much as the afternoon as we would have liked. My talk went really well, I think I was more nervous about one of the hymns I had to play than the talk itself - which is rare, since I usually get pretty nervous. The new mission president for the Montreal area came to our ward, and his wife offered to teach me how to play the organ. A task I have been putting off and putting off, but something I should really eventually learn. I was the only one at church who could play the piano so, I had to play at every meeting and after church for choir. I also got a new calling! Yikes!
Well I hope your Sunday is going well and you are finding time to relax and enjoy the beautiful sun or the cozy indoors if it's raining. What did you do this weekend? Any fun plans this week?
