No, this is not another term for lurking, although maybe it should be. Apparently, peeping, is a term used in the Vermont/Upstate NY area for viewing foliage. The leaves have already started to change here and on our recent trip to Vermont, we saw several trees amongst the still green leaves that were changing to bright yellow and orange. Fall is by far my favorite season and I'm very excited to be sitting in one place this year - no moving! This calls for a Yippeeee!
Check these birds out in the above picture. The material was a sued color for the chick body and the feet and owl eyes were leather. They looked so cute on the shelf - I just had to sneak a picture of it. What do you think? I think I might try to make these. Have you seen these before?
4th of July in DC at the mall check Cici hamming it up!
I've been avoiding blogging out of not wanting to be rude to our lovely guest that arrived on Thursday. But the girls are occupied and everyone is resting from sight seeing - so I though I'd better come and check-in! Even though I don't have a "little sister", I would consider Loan to be the closest thing. I met her when she was 11, and Craig met her and her family on his mission - she was 5 at the time! She's been apart of our lives ever since. I bet her when she was about 16, that if she didn't get married before 21 and finished her school that I would give her $150! Well, let's just say she's almost 23 and it was high time I honored the bet. Instead of cash, we flew her up here to see us! The girls have been so excited to have her here and we've had a lot of fun. She still has four days with us.
btw, I haven't forgotten about the bargain tip winners!

I think those little birds are darling! I am sooo ready for fall! Today was ourfirst day with lower temps. When I woke up to rain drops this morning, it put me in a fallish mood!
How fun to have such a wonderful guest at your house! It looks like the girls are enjoying their time with her too! :)
How fun to have a visitor. It seems like you always have stuff going on (vacations or visitors)...am I wrong? Is it just a summer thing or are you guys always on the move?
Love the birds and I'm sure you could make them. I have seen them somewhere- probably on Etsy....
have fun with your guest!
that's so great that you flew her to visit with you. Cute picture of all of the girls.
Fall is one of my most favorite times of the year also. I am very ready for it to be here.
I really hope everything goes well for you and your treatments. You will be in my prayers!
How fun to have a 'little sister' in Loan. Where was Craig's mission? It sure looks like the girls are comfortable with her and glad she is there. Enjoy your company!
Those are awesome little birds! That owl is too cute! How fun to have a special family friend like that! Enjoy your time together! And I am in complete agreement that FALL IS THE BEST! My mother-in-law is always trying to convince us to move to Arizona, but I love seasons way too much! I think I'll throw You've Got Mail in the DVD player today! I watch it every year to welcome fall. I don't care if it's a little early!
What a cute birds. It is always fun to have a friend over. Enjoy that time.

Sounds like you guys are having fun. Fall is such a wonderful time of year and those birds are great. I can't wait for it to cool off a bit and to get out the fall decor.
