Fancy bologna pizza.

It looks real doesn't it!

When I order a Canadian bacon and pineapple pizza I can be assured that 90% of the time it's not real "Canadian bacon" just good old ham. Which personally, because I don't know any better - is the same. When I first purchased pepperoni here I was disgusted that what I was eating tasted like bologna. Don't get me wrong, I like a good old-fashioned bologna sandwich - plus I love the song too. But when I purchase pepperoni, I'm thinking salami textured, spicy meat that I can get at any grocery store or minute mart in the states. I thought that I might simply have purchased the wrong brand, so I bought the kind you slice yourself, and other brands that really are just fancy bologna disguised in round pepperoni-looking pieces of meat. My fellow Canadian, help me! When I make pepperoni pizza, I don't want to make a fancy bologna pizza. Where should I go to find real pepperoni, outside of shopping in the states.

I have been busy planning the girls friend birthday party, a bit of business like finances, organizing (what else is new), everyday things, and covering a frame. My niece Abby sent these crazy Halloween faces that she made out of yogurt lids - so cute Abby! She wrote all our names on it me, my girls, Abby and her mum. Marie sent these great socks that I will wear, despite my never wearing decorative socks before. Rachel, thank you for your sweet words - you are really an inspiration. I also received a cute invitation to my brother's finance's bridal tea - which I will not be able to attend, but we will be in Utah for the wedding!

An interesting tidbit: This morning the girls asked me to sing the alphabet with them, I started to sing it and instead of singing it in english, they chanted the alphabet in french. They stopped and said to me, "Mommy, how do you sing the alphabet in english - I don't remember".
