Our presence lost the game!

Taken downtown before hockey game.
Our date was so much fun! We left the for the game late, but with more than enough time to take in a great restaurant called L'entrecote Saint-Jean. They have two things you can order, steak and fries with sauce and soup/salad and dessert, or the same thing without the dessert. Their d. coke seemed to be especially good that night - lots of ice with a lemon - perfect. Click here to check it out.

When we arrived at church on Sunday we were razzed by the father of the girl who babysits for us. He's a huge hockey fan and apparently felt that our presence at the game led to the Habs loosing. They played a good first quarter, but ended up playing defense for the next two. At the finally 30 seconds to try and tie the game, the pulled their goalie and added a 6th player, but Carolina (the team they were playing) took down and got the 3rd goal of the night. We've been advised by this same man not to attend anymore games - all in fun! Craig razzed him back because he's going to another hockey game this Tuesday, and to be prepared to have them loose again!

I now have three callings at church, plus a 4th one I do because no one else can at this time. I'm the sacrament meeting pianist, enrichment coordinator, choir pianist, and now I was officially called as the primary chorister. It seems every time I go to church - I get a new calling! Yikes! What's in store for me next week? The primary president came here from Brazil with her three sons. They just up and moved - amazing. She's done a great job learning English and doing a fantastic job in her calling! Their primary music time was really lacking and we're postponing the sacrament meeting presentation because we aren't ready yet. I think it's in mid-November.
I will announce the winners of the cozy recipe contest, hopefully tonight. They all look great, hmmm, which one do I like the best!

Sounds like your are busy with all those callings. We lived in a very small branch when I was in Junior High and my parents had too many callings to count. Thanks for posting on my blog.

I LOVE your new banner. Super cute!
And my mom stopped going to Padres games (my parents had season tickets) because EVERY time they went the Pads would lose. She says she's a jinx.
Where is the Primary pres from in Brazil? Josh served his mish in Salvador and we went on a trip this time last year down there. I LOVED it (didn't think I would but did). And his favorite family from Brazil is coming to stay with us for 2 weeks this Dec & for Christmas. Fun huh?

The new header is so cute! I wish I had the skills. The date night picture is adorable! And dangit--I wanted to enter the cozy recipe contest but left town without sending it. (Pumpkin Soup, mmmm...)

The 4th calling thing is a tad bit out of control. OUCH.

Hmmm...a jinx? That's how we feel with Astros games sometimes--it feels better to be a lucky charm!

Okay, I LOVE your new looks--both the blog and your hair. Looking good! :)
