Multiple Fry Phobia.

I am not phobic of eating fries. In fact, it's one of my favorite things to eat - especially Mcdonald's fries. However, I do have what I have labeled a Multiple Fry Phobia. To trace it's origins? I just don't like the way it looks when someone is shoving fists of fries in their mouth. They are to be enjoyed, just like chips, one maybe two at a time. Here's my rule: I cannot stand to eat more than one fry at a time or two if they are small. This little rule of mine unfortunately extends to those eating around me, and since Justin and his wife Shauna have eaten out with us more than once - he was right! I guess we owe you dinner!

I am not vocal about it, unless I know my fellow restaurant goers well - family and close friends. I promise I don't shout it out though the restaurant-although???!. I would like to say I am overcoming this multiple fry eating phobia, but sadly, I still am a one at a time fry girl. Now that I totally weirded everyone out let me tell you about what I made yesterday!

Front

I finished this harvest pillow yesterday. The front with the girl is from a purse I purchased at April Cornell. I sewed small leaf patterned material to the front and used fall leaves material for the back. Instead of sewing the hem and turning it inside out to stuff, I keeped the raw edges out, sewed, and cut with criss-cut scissors around the pillow.

Back

Craig has been working non-stop this week, with only about an hour he's been able to spend with the girls. I am going to be starting an art blog for my daughter Cici, she has so many drawings I can't keep them straight. I'm also working on putting together a service project for our ward and the singles ward. We're going to be making quiet books and other quiet type materials. We will put all the items we made outside of sacrement and allow anyone who needs them to pick them up and then return them after the meeting is over. It's going to be fun! I've purchased the materials and am pricing everything out now so I can tell our Relief Society President how much it's going to cost. I also just folded about 7 loads of laundry and carried them up two flights of stairs! Yikes.

How is your day?
Any weird food phobias?
Any fun enrichment activities in your future?

I love, love, love all these ideas! An art blog for your little one is SUCH a stroke of brilliance. I may have to be a swiper & do a lego blog for Max. And the quiet book service project--wow. Wish I were in that ward!

I love the quiet book service idea. I know my kids love their quiet books, but I bet they'd love them even more if they got to chose a new one each week once they got to church. Brilliant beyond brilliant, but that is no surprise!

I totally agree with you on the fry comment. I'm the same way. And since you like McDonalds fries like I do, I'll let you in on a yummy tip. Get their sweet and sour sauce and dip your fries in that. SOOO Yummy. It tastes weird the first fry or two, but then it totally grows on you.

It just so happens that I am chowing down on some McDonald's fries while reading blogs. I'm a multiple fry eater, myself. My favorite thing to do with fries from Wendy's is dip them in their chocolate Frostys. YUM-O!

I am just wondering if you feel the same way about popcorn...one piece at a time, or do you eat it by the handful?

Heffalump's comment reminded me that I eat popcorn one at a time, never a handful.

I love that enrichment idea. Thank you for sharing!

We have our super saturday coming up (tons of craft projects). Yesterday we had recipe club themed around "Spooky Delights." We have a book club every other month where we read only church books. We also have a RS temple day once a month.

I need to start photographing the doodles that Erin does on her magnetic Etch a Sketch type drawing board thing - the one you have to erase to draw the next thing. We've 'lost' some lovely little things on that, which deseved to be preserved in some way.

That cushion is really lovely, and your quiet book thing sounds brilliant. Good luck with it.

So I got the sharing thing wrong with the fries. Ah well. You've conjured up a memory I had of an aunt of mine squashing fries into her mouth in a Macdonald's in Barcelona. She looked like one of those circus people who cover their face in clothes pegs...

...so thanks for returning that image to me, Michelle! :-/

How clever to make that pillow from an April Cornell purchase!

I have missed you terribly and have clearly missed out on a lot of posts! I am deeply saddened for your heartbreak with the invitro. My sister-in-law has just started the shots, with plans of implanting the beginning of November. What an emotional time!

I think it's great you have given your girls the gift of music; at least the love of music, and the piano is a great place to start. I have taught Preston a few things, but look forward to putting him in lessons when finances are better.

I LOVE your hair dark! Seriously flattering...and who knew? You were such a lovely blonde!

My heart goes out to you! :)
